Had a pretty rough day yesterday....life isn't this hard mehn...Hopefully its gets better!!!
Since grad is so so near, everybody is talking about suits/jackets/coats...all sorts mehn...some dudes have even bought theirs...me? lol....na agbada i go wear mehn...Omo yoruba ni mi o....and quite a bit of this dudes do not know anything about suits or shirts for that matter.....so i asked my friend all the way from Styljunki to educate us!!!

DAY 20: NO NAME

The annoucement that TMC exam has been postponed wakes me up....TTG starts this morning by 7:00am....
*sigh* this is the beginning of the end
TTG(total man concept) is a programme run by the school in a bid to share the secrets to success of the outside world bto us the outgoing students!

Yesterday was boring.....Church in the morning.....nothing in the afternoon....am reading a book recommmended by the Bishop himself...Oh yes! He asked me to read the book: Ruling Your World, book is CONFAM mehn..by the time am done I can talk to anybody and inspiire the person(s) mehn.....one of the things learnt so far is that when u are ponting accusing fingers at someone....notice that the remaining three are pointing at you and one point to God as your witness...meaning that atleast 65% of your pro\blem is caused by you ya self! #gbam
I tried to wash but it was all in my head, my closet is still filled with dirty things......

DAY 24:GREEN COVENANT GREEN

Coming to Covenant University five years ago, I had never seen so much green in my life...talk-less of so much green in one place. Now these trees/lawns aren't just planted to beautify the environment, they were planted in support of the Going Green Initiative regards stopping GLOBAL WARMING. You don't know what that is? Where have you been living? Oya wait I'll tell you!

Global warming is when the earth heats up (the temperature rises).  It happens when greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide, water vapor, nitrous oxide, and methane) trap heat and light from the sun in the earth’s atmosphere, which increases the temperature.  This hurts many people, animals, and plants.  Many cannot take the change, so they die.When they die, the animals lose a source of food, along with their habitat. When the plants and animals die, people lose two sources of food, plant food and animal food.  They may also lose their homes.  As a result, they would also have to leave the area or die.  This would be called a break in the food chain.

So therefore Covenant University has decided to keep on planting trees because as trees grow, they help stop global warming by removing carbon dioxide from the air, storing carbon in the trees and soil, and releasing oxygen into the atmosphere.

DAY 25:MISTAKES x APOLOGIES

In the past days, I have come to learn that actually actually for every action there is an equal reaction (as proclaimed by Newton’s third law). No matter what you do, good or bad, consequences are bound no matter how long it might take. Do stuff right!
I have learnt that, that your personal mistake not only hurts you but others as well.
I have learnt to think things through before doing them.
I have learnt to continue to do me instead of subscribing to another’s school of thought. (I know this is out of context but I also learnt that there is a food joint in Calabar called ‘University of Thought’, I can only imagine the thought going on in your head with dogleg in your hands! #team404)
In the past days, I have learnt again that you are alone in this world!
I have learnt to actually see things from different perspective/see both sides to a story.
I learnt to cherish and care for what you have.
I learnt that mistakes could be avoided.
I learnt that God never puts obstacles that one cannot overcome in your footpath.
I learnt that positivity should be concentrated on and negativity should only be looked on for improvement of positivity!


Big apologies to everybody I might have hurt in the past days. Apologies to the supposed readers (I see the page views increasing and NBAs).

DAY 35:WHO WATCHED 'THE WOOD'?

This is one of my favorite movies for sure, it was produced and directed by Rick Famuyiwa. The movie is about three best friends (Omar Epps, Taye Diggs and Richard Jones) growing up in Inglewood California.

Every time I see this movie it brings back so much memory of growing up with my boys: Sensei and Fishon. We had so much fun, got into a lot of trouble, had fights and bunch of drama. We still strong tho!

Sometimes I wonder why we are here? what is our purpose? Well, that is something that is different for everyone.

Over the years I have that learned that everything you do today is history tomorrow. I try not to hesitate too much. Even when I am totally broke, I choose to be happy and thank God!

The most valuable gift you can offer anyone is your time, because money can't buy it. I try to spend time with the loved ones in my life, so when my time comes, and I join my maker, they will remember the times we spent together.

Seeing that this post is in the afternoon and the day is not expired yet.....here's what am currently doing apart from writing this post.... am currently reading for my exam tomorrow DSP (digital signal processing) seems like Greek to me now, but give me small time....we'll nail it!

Also in the past week I read this book:

Very sad book but then its a triumphant story about a boy that was abused by his birth mother for absolutely no reason....one of the most touching part was when his mother stabbed him with a knife and didn't take him to an hospital!! P.S no matter how G you are, you might cry when you read this book.

So,  its back to the books with hopefully a calmer mindset!

DAY 38: BALLS of Coal Tar

I woke up by 1300hrs today cos i slept late mehn like 0700hrs due to some happenings that occured in the wee hours of the morning....FASHION was the cause...get it?
Well, i was torn between hitting THE BLACK REPUBLIC LOUNGE (click HERE to see) opening and looking for @missprisiibaby... i stayed in school due to lack of ginger from my goons @senseilumidi, @pepro_lamba,@doublewealth,@lamba_olaps

Since I was in school...i watched the coal-tar football match(s)....kinda day tho.....btw Vicky came to disturb but if i hear say boiz answer her....Play on jor!!
Oh yeah! its been ages since I handled a professional camera and I saw this dude:Nonso with this Nikon D90....mehn mad camera mehn.....he took some pictures and i took some too....mad mad camera! I should get one too when i have money.....

Starting this blog....i never actually gave a rundown of my Uni and the way it is run...I currently go to Covenant University and its missionary, we aren't allowed phones, we aren't allowed Jeans and denims
Today a new craze started with the management....skinny/pencil trousers were shredded, tight skirts too were looped....Afros were chopped, any form of beard too...chopped...

First of i wanna say I am sorry for keeping you waiting....wasn't my fault you see....there was a blackout in my building hence, laptop battery/phone batteries/ipad batteries/ all the batteries were dead so i couldn't blog!
happens that the generator for my building is bad and the PHCN people are not even helping matters...to imagine that i might have an exam today...total disaster!
The light had gone off as early as 3:00pm in the afternoon and it came on about 11:00pm, only to be gone again by 11:30pm.....mosquitoes played their part in this unfortunate occurrence. Shame to the super of my building...how can you let this happen during exams! Well, peep the pictures below.....

"Daniel hall students leave for Service now!" came the voice from P.A system….That was the first sound of the day….time check: Shit! 6:45AM. racing like a Ferrari F50 to the bath after the events of yesterday we needed to pray for @tylamba cos he was not up yet... Body no be wood nah! (Unto 10 raps of BASHAN FUFU).. lol….oh! By the way! This is @laiciterio standing in for @tylamba

@imoy20 & @leke90 wouldn't wait for a bro and @tofa07 wouldn't leave for service as usual…so hooked up with @wilbunz with an expectant heart chapel bound…leggggooo!!!

It took moving on the double to make the end of praise and worship….followed by choir ministration, tithes and offering collection and other church protocols but something worthy of note was the testimony of a young student who went to the laundry and she saw something moving and behold, it was a big black snake. Then came the sermon of the day by Bishop Thomas Aremu. He was hilarious; I knew I was going to enjoy it. The sermon was titled 'Connecting to the Help From Above'. Text: Psalms 3 vs 1, 89 vs 19, 46 vs 1, 60 vs 11-12; 108 vs 12-13.

How then do I connect with His help?

1. Understand your helplessness without Him.
   
2. Know that God is the source of your total help.
   
3. Understand the limitations of the help of man.
   
4. Always ask for His help in prayers.
   
5. Refuse the temptation to seek help from the devil.
   
6. Acknowledge and celebrate His help in thanksgiving.
   
7. Share your testimony.
   

But then came the word for the day, Psalm 62 vs 9 "surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie; to be laid in the balance they are all lighter than vanity"

So there was no light and we started a bit of argument…'I can finish 10 sticks of Cabin biscuits in 1 minute' to 'I can finish 5 wraps of Fufu in 30 minutes'
(fufu is a dish made from cassava, eaten rolled into balls as the starchy accompaniment to soups or stews). <--------- This is for the humble folks from outside here….yes! We get hits from Europe too!

It ended in a 'I will finish 10 wraps in 1 hour'…the challenger: @laiciterio, the challenge: yours truly…a bet was made…N9,000 each…winner takes all….

I thought it to be a chance to make some extra money…there was so much ginger from @big_wiz, @leke90 and @bookoovuiton….mehn, the odds were against me but I had bragged so much I couldn't back down now…could I?

Well, I actually backed out but then I thought... 'For the blog', 'for the readers'…lets spice shit up mehn….so I went in! I dare say…'I am a facking glutton'…today was a case of sheer gluttony.

Today…I bought two albums: Rotimi – The resume and Wizkid – Superstar. Well, I know a lot of you want the wizkid album or at least a song from it…so at the end of this post, feel free to download 'Pakurumo' a Fuji inspired track from the wizzy…'e ye ye ye a'. I had already listened to it few days back thanks to @oyeakd so I was a bit skeptical about getting it. My thoughts of the album: commercial success, Yes! but not a classic…I dare say many of us are not looking forward to the next album…save the next song….it feels like we have heard every song he has….see me hating abi….Boy that starts his U.S tour with Mr. Wellington in a few….but really the album is good but not so good.

Then Rotimi – The Resume: total Yankee package…the 'am sorry' songs here…the sensual slow here (sex music)…the 'I am a badt guyz' songs there…it is a confam R&B album! …..boy be doing it big and making the motherland proud…he performed on 106 & Park weeks back…MTV be spinning his 'Beautiful Music' Jam…..rating: Very good…seeing that its even a Mixtape.

DAY 47: THE POOR UNCLE

So I am here thinking 'bout the future. What would be/where I would be/how different things would be. I suppose don be one rich ass bastard with one very hot wife and trust fund kids abi, but then again things might not always go the way you want.

So comes the thoughts of the poor uncle, in the words of @TecknicoleurGrl ," I don't want to be the poor uncle!"

But wait who is the Poor uncle?
That guy that comes to your house for the weekend without buying you and your siblings anything not even biscuits and expects to leave your house on Sunday evening or Monday morning with your dad's old clothes (thats still chilling) and collect some change from him.

That uncle that before he comes the next time, your mom and dad have warned you never to let him in or to tell him they are around.

Most times this kind of scenario plays out:

I slept say 3:10am woke up around 4am feeling all woozy and fuzzy...the idea was to read....but i decided to sleep it off jor
Btw i didn't charge the batteries to the camera.... :-( so no pictures today.

Well, i went for my exam..ANN (artificial neural network), on getting there some 10 minutes late, my lecturer Engr Isaac was on form shouting,singing that we wouldn't write the exam..blah blah blah...after much more he allowed us in....the paper was mmmmmhhhhhhh chilling..we tries sha....immediately i had another paper which i quickly read/revised for....
I always carry my key with me everywhere i go,so i was with it for my exams and that was the last of them i saw....i would realize this later at night.
Today was a boring day mehn....But just as i thought this post would not have pictures...i found my extra key(s)...Confam....picked up the camera...charged it....and off i went to the library

Hey people...how was your day? Good? mine? Glad you asked..i would tell. Btw i am already stresed about having to write stuff here everyday for the next 1152 hours.
 So about my day...yeahhhhh....didnt quite sleep till say 4am...tryna get my read on...work up say 7am.....me and the boys were in hih spirits mehn.... played some Eazi Nakamura mehn....the boy is mad...i promise to share a few of his songs in abit...so we got to dancing and jerking and confam grooving

So, after much cajoling from @laiciterio, i decided to actually write something before the end of the day.
The final exams starts today by 10am...it kicks of with 'robotics'...one horrible course that i barely went to the class and don't actually understand...am starting to get it though...Cos 0 is also -Sin 0...#confam
I have to read amidst all this distraction I have created for my self; twitter/blog(s)...lol...so maybe i might go off twitter for a bit save tweeting new blog posts and stuff
Off which i have got two papers today...Digital Electronics i think and this Robotics thing
